And then, there was one.

Greeting Friends!  I am writing to you today with some news on Triple Moon Magic as well as Luna Blu Bath and Body.  I apologize for the delay in time since we’ve last spoken; there has been much going on regarding the companies as well as personal and family issues.

First things first, if you follow Triple Moon Magic on Etsy (which all of you should), you’ll notice there has been a name change in shop owners.  It is with great sadness and remorse that I, Marissa, will no longer be a part of both Triple Moon Magic and Luna Blu B&B.  This has been a decision that has weighed heavily on my mind for some time and I felt it was only right to tell you, our loyal and faithful friends this sad sad news.  I wish my sister the best regarding this new venture with Luna Blu, but unfortunately time as well as disagreements has lead to this very sad separation.   My husband is with the United States Navy, so we are keeping our options open regarding relocations from Philadelphia.  A permanent move seems to be becoming a very opaque outcome for our future as well as much talk of children as we dive head first into the sometimes unforgiving world of Fertility.  I only hope she can succeed where I would have otherwise, failed.

I wish to say a much needed thanks to my cowokers who were our very own test bunnies.  You guys were such a huge help, thank you!

In the future, if time and finances allow, I do plan to begin my own business with soap as well as other scented goods…so this won’t be the last time you’ll be hearing from me!

Again, I wish my sister the very best in her upcoming adventures within the world of perfume, soap, and sparkly goods.  I hope that her endeavors are successful as well as prosperous!  Since you’re here you may as well stop by her Etsy page, Triple Moon 2, and buy something!  Summer is right around the corner and nothing says Summer like pretty and sparkly Charms for your Gardens!!!

With the very brightest of blessings, always,
Marissa Leigh

Luna Blu

First, if you are reading this, I wish to say a great many thanks.   Heather and I are going to be taking a major leap into unknown territory and it is with the help and love we have from you, our friends that we can continue to move forward.

Please let me introduce to you today-

Luna Blu Bath and Body
Specializing in Ol’ Factory Confections and Lavations for your mind, body, and soul.

We will start by selling oil based perfumes and slowly we will start to release sugar scrubs, soaps, and body glosses.

Some scents will include (but are not limited to):

Lilith (Luna Blu’s signature scent) ~ A rebellious blend of resinous ambers, rich mulled wines, tempting Indian Sandalwood, and sinfully delicious smoked coconut shavings.

Verdi ~ Raspberry sparkling wine explodes with yummy red fruit flavors.  Sweet, yet lively this is certainly a refreshing change of pace.

Saraswati ~ A most modest combination of sliced mango, perfumed basmati rice, followed by a drizzle of coconut cream flecked with Tahitian vanilla beans.

Momo ~ Fresh picked peaches, dark resins of amber and balsam, a waft of patchouli smoke, and crowned with one tear of Dhofari frankincense.

Summersisle ~ Rich and gooey honeycomb, freshly moan hay, a tall glass of spiced mead, and a twisted hint of weaved Willow branches.

Fée Verte (The Green Fairy) ~ An intoxicating blend containing wormwood essence, burnt sugar, muddled mint, anise, hyssop, the barest hint of lemon, with the lingering trace of thujone elixir.

Courtesan ~ Tangy lychee is met by a blushing rooibos tea, with a splash of Madagascar vanilla infused coconut milk.

As the seasons turn we will also have our Autumnal, Wintertide, Vernal, and Midsummer scents.  Some of which have already been formulated, but I will talk more about that as well as a detailed explanation of our scents in the coming months.

Since Luna Blu production has already begun, we will start by sending home samples to you with the purchase of one of our Charms in our Triple Moon 2 Shop.

We expect our full release of products to purchase by October 2012.

One last thing!  I want to take a moment to say a very special heartfelt thank you to some people who definitely to deserve to be acknowledged!  From the moment we came up with this idea, my coworkers have been our own group of test bunnies.  Traci, Beth, Sara, and Monica deserve a round of applause for letting us test our scents (some of which turned out to be really BAD) on their skin.  It is with all you’re constant appreciation and support that we are able to move forward, and for that we thank you!

With lots of love and brightest blessings, Always.

Camping!

Greetings friends-
I want to start off with an apology.  It has been far too long since our last post and for that I am deeply sorry.  Things have been, to say the least, hectic.  Heather and I are scrambling for the grand preview of our newest adventure, so much so that we forgot to give you guy’s updates on anything!
So, with that said, I thought I would talk about our little family outing we had over the past weekend.  Heather, her two kids (Zachary and Skylar), and I took a camping trip to Ricketts Glen Statepark.  For those of you who live in and around Pennsylvania I strongly suggest you take this trip!  They have over 7.5 miles of rigorous hiking trails with 21 waterfalls to take your attention off the fact that you are exercising.  It is a truly beautiful place and it’s amazing that this gem isn’t visited more often.  What I don’t suggest?  Going up there when the temps drop below 34 degrees…It was FREEZING!  Not to mention the rain that decided to start falling Saturday night and didn’t stop until Sunday morning as we were packing up to go home.  Even with the rain and the cold, we still had a wonderful time.  Singing, smores, and ghost stories around the campfire made this weekend one to be remembered.
I wanted to add that we will be sending out the newsletter around the 14th of October.  A blog update will follow, but that won’t be till the end of this month.  So, that means if you want the latest news from your favorite sisters-you gotta sign up!
Lastly, as always, be sure to check out our Charms at Triple Moon 2.  We’re working on our Yuletide Ornaments now which will go up for sale promptly after Hallowe’en.  Thanks for reading!!

Blessings and Good wishes, Always,

A Trip to the Orchard

Blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries oh my!  The weather finally broke and yesterday was the first fully sunny day we’ve had in a while.  What better way to spend your Saturday than at an orchard?  Heather, Skylar, and I took a lovely drive and wound up at Solebury Orchards, a “Pick-Your-Own” farm located in Solebury Township just outside of New Hope, PA.
We picked a boat load of stuff and bought a few extra things, like their life changing cider doughnuts.  Which opened the door to a few other ideas, but we’ll talk more about that in October.
Here are a few photos of our trip…Enjoy!

The Bluest Moon

For the past several months Heather and I have been skirting around a big announcement having to do with us, as shop owners and entrepreneurs.

Today I am writing you, our fair friends and loved ones, as promised with a sneak peek into into the world we’ve been living in for the last seven or so months.  It’s all been very time consuming, exciting, frustrating, and, of course, rewarding.  This was an idea Heather and I had made a very long time ago and we finally decided to do it!  I’m not going to give too much away, but rest assured we will have our full release in Mid-October.

Keep checking those mailboxes as we are working on our first Newsletter to be sent out before the big news this fall.
Good tidings and the brightest blessings!

Summer Fun

Now that Summer is in full swing we seem to be engulfed in BBQ’s, weekend trips down the shore, and mini vacations up the mountains sometimes being a vegetarian can definitely have its downsides!  I can’t tell you how many times I’ve skipped out on eating cause all the BBQ had to offer was…hotdogs?  Gross!
Fear not my fellow herbivores!    I have a few tips that might help in beating the hunger pains when burnt flesh and nitrates aren’t your gig.
1.        When traveling to a friendly BBQ, bring a veggie dish.  I recently made the best Kamut Pasta Salad, tweaked with roasting the veggies.  The salad came out so good even the kids were eating it!!  I have to say, if it wasn't for some of Angela's recipes I would have otherwise went to bed on an empty stomach!
2.       If you are going on a mini vacation where you’ll have access to a stove, fridge, grill, and whatnot-Offer to do some of the food shopping, that way you’ll be able to grab a few veggie goodies and not feel so left out when folks are chowing down on burgers and chicken legs.
3.       If you’re feeling really crafty, you can bring your own pre-made veggie/soy burgers.  I recently made Mean-Green Edamame Burgers that were washed down with the best Frozen Watermelon Margaritas.  The entire meal left everyone full, happy, and with no regrets as it was a relatively healthy meal!

I’m not going to lie, going veg isn’t always the easiest route but it has been a lot of fun and I'm really excited to be getting in the swing of it all.  It's also opened up doors to a ton of new fruits, veggies, and grains that I would've otherwise passed by in the grocery store.
I’m not here to push my lifestyle on anyone.  I want to share what I am going through in my life because for a very long time, I was not happy with the person that I saw in the mirror.  My own struggles with weight and appearance are a constant battle.   While I know I still have a long way to go, I know this is one small fight that I am happy to be victorious in!

No matter what your personal preference is I hope everyone can have a safe, happy, and healthy rest of summer.  Check back soon for some sneak pictures of our latest project.  Also, don’t forget to sign up for Triple Moon Magic’s Newsletter for the latest updates from your favorite sisters!
Thanks for reading.
Blessings, Always

Trip to the country!

Good Morning and Happy Monday!

This past weekend, Andy and I went on a trip to a semi-local Lavender Farm.  It was a trip originally planned for a walk around Lake Galena but we were soon side tracked by something that smelled most captivating!  A hidden gem in Bucks County, that was just too lovely to not talk about!  Peace Valley Lavender Farm is such a splendid place and I strongly encourage you to take a little day trip to the area.  After the farm, we stopped at the Peace Valley Nature Sanctuary and saw an array of wildlife!  It turned out to be a most wonderful day!  Sadly, the only camera we had was my phone.  I've decided to post them anyway, as I still think some of the photos came out alright.  Enjoy!

Lucas was ready to go!

I swear he was smiling in this one!

Sleepy time!
